Do the bang bang bangs kinda go with the revolution
of the flywheel or the revolutions of the starter motor?

Re: AAA says cheap, off-brand gasoline is bad for engines

I was just talking to a friend yesterday who has a buddy who was a chemical engineer at a large refinery. What he said is that the generics or "Rotten this and that" brands typically buy their gas on the spot market, excess production, and if an order is specifically placed for their needs...

Re: Odd 710 in Co.

Ha! The last time I asked my girlfriend Wife that is, what her objective opinion was about a Pinzgauer, she said "Oh, that's cute, when you gonna get it". Got on a plane and drove the Pinz back from Tucson the very next day. Ever since I've been careful not to ask for opinions

Re: Tail stabilty; Trailers and Trucks

The internal clearance is pretty much the same with the Pinz tire vs. the LR tire -- spacing to hydraulic brake hose. Although I could have pushed the spacer thickness down by ~1" and still cleared, but I rounded up rather than down to be safe. Ironically this Sankey-3 trailer is refereed to as...

Re: Tail stabilty; Trailers and Trucks

This should also be linked to the Adapter thread. But, I Just got a custom wheel adapter so I can use my Pinz spare on my Sankey trailer. The trailer uses Rover wheels (Defernder pre-1999) with a Bolt pattern 5 x 6.5", and the Pinz at 5 x 160mm. Adapter.jpg There's a few things to watch out for...

So your looking for a back up for your Hazard lights with the strobe?
You might get pulled over for that if it's not the legal colors.

Re: busted first exhaust stud

Is there some shaft left on the stud to get a pair of Vise grips onto?
If so I think where your heading would good, best penetrating oil you
can get, let it soak for several hours and repeat. If this is broken off
flush that would be a nightmare.

Re: Front Crankshaft Seal Leak

It's a $10 part, if that's all you need. http://www.pinzgauer.com/showdetails.ph ... o=9023834/
Looking at maintenance doc's you may be able to remove/replace this seal by removing the pulley. Looks well beyond
any "Stop leak" additives :(

Re: 710M or 710K?

M's are far more available than K's. If your looking for a hard top with canvas sides
ask Andre at Fat Fabrication to build you what you want for a semi-M conversion-- he
can make just about anything. He also has a super super nice M for sale.

Re: Jerry Can Spouts -- WATCH OUT

Yes, I've seen these on eBay -- pricey. I do have a simple one with an air vent.

It's just that these newer spouts came with two new cans and IMHO should NOT be
used unless you like fishing for broken bits in your gas tank on a Saturday morning.
