ScottishPinz - I was quite pleased with the Fedima remoulds that were on the Pinz when I got it. When worn, I replaced them with 750 x 16 Chaco's (Radial) last year. Never had any issues with remoulds over the years. Great wet grip on the tarmac and equally important to me, they survive a lot of tri...

About once a month I visit a Bothy in the hills, well off-road which involves a river crossing. On the return trip it's a steep downhill track most of the way to the nearest public road. Where safe to do so (nasty drops in some places), I coast down in neutral with the hoof on the brakes. The first ...

Mike.

The global warming sketch has given governments on both sides of the pond the greatest excuse yet for hiking up taxes (and dreaming up new ones) fine style.

Once the gravy train is rolling, George W and Tony B.Liar will milk it for all it's worth.

Ghostbear has some very good points in his post !!

I experienced this last winter. Low mileage engine in good nick, very little oil consumption. In between monthly trips to a mountain bothy, only do short mileage "local" trips. Just happened to glance out of mirror to see a bonzoid cloud of oil smoke! Pulled up on the verge smartish. Revve...

Hi folks. 1st post so please be gentle. Like others, my tyres run on outer edges (especially the front). 80% of mileage on tarmac, mostly just driver and no load. Getting cheesed having to pay to get them reversed at regular intervals. Question: Would shortening the spring support bolts (710.1.54.37...
