I pulled the ground wire off and it seemed in tack, no broken strands. The terminals had soome corrosion on them so I cleaned them and re-installed it. It started a little better today. I will have to start it a few more times to see if the starter is still sound. Before I pull it and re-build the b...

Thanks Paul, I will check that today and start it to see if that made a difference. I know that grounds a very important on the truck. Seems when ever an electrical device does not works, the ground is most likely the problem.

My engine starts very slow the last few weeks. I have checked the battery voltage and the voltage while running and both look good and it is getting charged. Checking older posts it may be the starter going bad? Could be the brushes need replacing? Is there a way to check it before taking it all apa...

It is best to leave a sleeping dog lye. Here in Wisconsin the DMV has given us all a hard time because someone had an issue with a registration. I would not say a thing and be glad you can drive it.

Here is what my new tail lights look like LED tail lights and a reverse. I used the switch on the trans and brought power thru from a unused wire in the tail lights. New tail light box from trucklite and oval bracket added for the reverse light. Scooter http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f139/scooter...

I have the red top model. RED 34/78 CA 980 CCA 800. I bought them at a farm supply store here. I have had them since 2006 and never had a problem. They are smaller than the orginal in length, but the width is just right.

I bought mine from Scott at Expedition Imports almost 5 years ago and had it shipped to Wisconsin. He was very helpful and really made me feel confident that I was getting a great truck and answered every question I had. Even took care of some minor issues once it got here. good luck on your quest S...

I got kids to wash mine. They can not hurt the finish because there isn't one. Best part about the truck, I do not worry about the paint job.

I was able to remove the switch with an adjustable wrench. I have not had any luck finding a local shop to buy a new one from that fit. I even found a small air cooled shop in Milwaukee, they had two swiches in stock for $4. All the switches I found had tapered threads, but the Pinz switch has strai...

I found a local parts store that can order one for me. since this sounds like a big mess and fluid all over the place. Do I need to bleed the brakes after swaping out the switch? I figure I will loose some fluid but not all of it.

Thanks

Figured it was a bad switch???? I checked SWA and the parts manual and found a switch P/N 7101366062, can anyone confrim...

I have the red tops too. they are a little smaller than the orginal batteries and I had to make a spacer from a 2x4 peice of wood. Seems to hold up fine and never an issue of being charged. I bought them at a local farm supply store.
