Re: Slow Cranking??
check the grounding straps and could be that your clutch is hanging up a little causing the slower turning.

Re: Strange Clutch engadgment
sounds like you picked up some surface rust on the face of the pressure plate and flywheel. If you are lucky a little drive time will cure that. If the clutch is not fully disengaging this could also be part of your slow cranking problem.

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
Well as has been mentioned the heat is coming to AZ. I added a shade canopy to the back of my pinz. I also made my prototype of the cooler for the pinz which is working out very well so far. Almost hate to say it but I need a couple of hot days to see how well it works. On the sub 100 deg days it ha...

Re: Soft Hard Door Top Hybrid?
Miles I actually built this box around the ideas that were being thrown around a few years ago. I have not left the glass out as I am one of those who prefers to have the door tops completely off as much as possible. If you notice on my 710 I made a cargo carrier over the cab and on my 712 there is ...

Re: looking for ambulance box
One of the guys here wants to do a camper conversion. It looks like we have a box. Started the preparations to the truck today in anticipation of its arrival. You really want to take this thread off course, I just finalized a stand alone swamp cooler for the pinz. Works really well right now but the...

Re: Show me your box!
nothing fancy but it works. The passenger side portion was made to hold the door glass if one wanted to remove the glass and leave the upper metal frame in place. The other two portions I use for general storage.

Re: tube bender
I had the same concerns when I first bought mine. My thought process was, 1st I could not find a bender that I could use 2nd I did not want the weaker links of all the welds at each bend 3rd the cost to rent a bender or pay someone to make the bends far exceeded the cost of the bender 4th the HF ben...

Re: tube bender
did a lot of my pinz projects with the bender from Harbor freight before moving up to a JD2 bender. HF bender works ok just takes a little longer and harder to duplicate angles.

Re: winch choices
I have carried one of the Black Rats for years and would not even consider a vehicle mounted winch anymore. The versatility is just too great with these winches. One other great advantage is its portable and can go in any vehicle so you don't have to buy one for each 4x (or 6x) you own. I used it at...

Re: did some remodeling of my 712M
Yes Tim added that to the front nose to reinforce it, seemed I like to use them to get over obstacles. I have some nose armor that he made for me but have been to lazy to install it, maybe I can talk him into putting on one of these days. Here is a picture of his truck with the nose armor I am worki...
