Re: Anyone tried the Victron 24-12v converters?
Thanks for the reply but what's the difference between using something like the above 70amp dc-dc convertor on a regular lead-acid battery, and an alternator? I am not sure I see an answer to this. Yes, I understand the difference between chargers and converters but again we are faced with the issu...

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install
Thanks Jason. My thoughts exactly on the valve for up front vs. rear. Sounds like it also needs a bulb primer in the line for those times it sits too long.
I don't see the pic.

Re: Webasto Air Top 2000 Install
I am resurrecting an old thread here to see how the Webasto heater is doing. Yes, life and procrastination has bitten me as the price on these have skyrocketed but i may still get one. I have read about some problems with sooting in the petrol model that have caused malfunction and/or high maintenan...

Re: Fuel Solenoids...
I just bought four of these 24v cut off solenoids from SAV for not much more than the 12v ones at jbugs. If you don't want four then find a friend.

Re: Swiss 710k Wheel Cylinder Seize
I just did the brakes ot my 710K a few months ago. The springs and shoes were caked with debris and rusty. Two springs broke when removed. I replaced the shoes and all springs. Removed, cleaned and lubed the adjusters. Drums did not have enough remaining to turn so I bought new drums. However the wh...

Re: Engine won't idle, runs like crap
Thanks for the good info. I may just order some spare floats to have on hand. I have a question about your method of checking to see if cylinders are missing however. You preformed what I consider the usual method but I thought with the PinzSSI one was not supposed to attempt starting or running wit...

I had a great time meeting other Pinz owners and learning about driving the passes last year in Ouray. I hope everyone has a great time this year. Tell them all hello for me!

Re: Loose mirrors
It has been a while since I have done mine but it will be much easier if you take the mount off of the truck so you can get it into a vice or other better support than the truck sheet metal. The taper can be very stubborn. Be patient and apply PB blaster or similar for a couple days then pound it. U...

This forum is a wealth of information, assistance and at times entertainment, especially for those of us not fortunate enough to have other Pinz owners close by. It gives a sense of belonging. PayPal button clicked/ Thanks Vince!
