Axle Articulation

Our trucks are great vehicles...don't get me wrong...

But I thought 'Mogs had excellent axle articulation, until I saw this...

McCall Pinz,

Very professional-looking job!

Do you have a source for the carpet, or a manufacturer name?

I have never seen OD carpet before!

That's okay Denis! I hope the Canadian Forces are so unhappy with them that they look to sell them to us taxpayers soon!

Mind you, I guess that would mean we are actually buying them twice!

Thanks for the update Jeff!

I'll try one of the electrical supplier shops out here in the east end.

Jim: PM sent in regards to your kit.

Happy New Year, Jeff!

After going back through your EFI post, I wanted to ask you where you got your 'Scepter' box for your install.

I can't find that size anywhere! The local HD only has small ones.

Hope the truck is still running great!

They are nice and bright and are multi-volt.

If you need pic's, let me know and I'll send them to you.

He is a gentleman. You may find that he can 'piggy-back' your 712 onto a car-carrier for Halifax. Not so sure about Washington State! He was able to do that for my delivery to east of Toronto and it was only a couple of hundred bucks. All of the trucks seemed to be in good mechanical shape. I drove ...

I bought mine from Karl a couple of years ago.

Great guy! I have also spoken with several people who bought their trucks from him (Mog, Pinz and Steyr 680's)

Are you going to buy from there?

Yup!...power source (behind seat even?) and speakers! I was going to look into a proper DIN mounting box and see about placing it directly under the glove-box. That way you can use the the remote that comes with the unit while on the driver's side. For those of you that have K models, I would imagin...

Hi Ka,

I just had the system delivered last week. With a busy work schedule and precious little time, I can't see install until the snow flies! :(

Miles,

I agree. The CD player was a concern for me as I view it as the weakest link in the system. But with the Flash Drive capability, I figure a 8 GB unit will take me as far as I want to drive in the Pinz anyhow!! And no skipping! :)

24 Volt AM/FM radio source

Gents, I found a source for 24 volt AM/FM radios on the 'net. This guy will ship them from New Zealand and the price is pretty good. It's a nice little unit with a USB port as well as a slot for an SD card. I ordered one and it arrived yesterday (about a week and a half for shipping). It was really ...

Morris,

These are a few more dollars than the idea of using a threaded rod, but it gives you another option.

I bought one and installed some brackets for holding gas cans into the rear of my truck.

It is a great little tool and easy to use.

It wasn't Knuckledown (although they may also make them now). The name of the site escapes me, but they have definitely gotten out of Pinz accessory fabrication. It was the one with the guy shooting the Ingram or MAC-10 sub-machine gun at the metal that the tanks were made of. They sent out an e-mai...
