starter engagement problems on 710K
Hi, Here's the problem. Starter whirs but won't engage. Pushing the vehicle backwards in gear to move the position on the ring gear makes no difference, so it suggests the starter gear isn't engaging. I'm not great mechanically I should admit at this stage. I had a look at earlier threads and learne...

This appeared on Milweb. Not one I've seen before. Sale is nothing to do with me.

A bolt from the side rubbing strips? Is that possible? They have a cross head like that on mine.
Don't know how it would have ended up indoors though.

Those of you in the UK will know Dale well at Haflingerteknic. Here's a shot of one of the mysterious inhabitants of his big shed.

With the 'VIP steering wheel' ? Maybe that sounded better in Austrian.

Re: Side Rail Replacement
I had the wooden ones when I bought my Pinz but discovered they were largely composed of a paint monocoque. The wood inside was in poor shape. I bought an 8'x4' sheet of 35mm Delrin and had replacements cut out from that. Delrin beats rubber in that it doesn't tend to bunch up when scraped along som...

Re: Chirping Noise
It's not by any chance a bird's nest?
That would certainly explain the chirping and I could well imagine circumstances during driving which would so alarm a clutch of young birds that they might begin to screech.
Hope that's helpful.

6' and not thin?
No problem.
I am 6'5" and maybe 310lbs. No problems in my 710K. Legroom is normally the issue for me in vehicles but not so in a Pinz.

Two things: 1) for the rest of the world reading this, 'skint' means short of money, 2) titanium shovels are definitely cool. Maybe not $200k cool, but still cool. I still think Space Pens are cool though, so maybe I'm not the best judge. Scottishpinz I suspect the second photo is of your steed in I...

You know when you click on this website you're treated to various alternating images of Pinzgauers (and a Volvo C303) on the top left of the screen? Well you occasionally see an orange sided 710 of some sort with what looks like an aftermarket grey slab sided hardtop set into the orange skin. Does a...
