100% agree that a thin coating makes very little difference but I went with the “something is better than nothing” attitude. The entire inside of my truck is coated with Al’s heat and noise reducer (als-hnr) Not sure it makes a ton of difference. Remove the cable where you circled and spin it slowly with a drill and see if it needle moves.
This possibly eliminates the cable and could point to small gears in the assembly at the diff

I have 2 60 amp converters with 2 12v fuse blocks as both my EFI and power steering use 12v.
