712s are geared 12% lower than 710, if I remember correctly. 88kph vs 100kph. My 712 runs happiest at about 50 mph as per my GPS. I've run it to about 60- 65 on the highway, but it's noisier.
I've gotten nearly 15mph on highway, with a tailwind!
Never seen the light while driving.

JerBer, Don't underestimate how slow Pinzes travel! A 710 will make better time than my 712, but it took me 21 hrs. drive time from Littleton to Blue Mounds. That's driving the interstate. I've gotten a amber xenon flashing lamp which I mount on back and run whenever I'm on the interstate. There's j...

Russ, No, you've got it wrong. Pinzgauers ARE allowed in Wisconsin. It's just that tax-paying, Pinzgauer-owning WISCONSINITES are not allowed to operate their own vehicle on the road. It's really very simple. Paul from Blue Mounds, Wisconsin. Still smiling, but it's gettin' tougher.... ps: Yes, that...

Hello, Thanks for your interest and inquiry. Short answer is: we still don't have our titles and licenses back. I have spoken with one owner of a historic military vehicle (U.S. Jeep) who has already given up and registered his vehicle in another state. I was told by Sen. Jon Erpenbach's office last...

Mike, You're correct about being cautious. Being a stupid American, I made the ignorant mistake of photographing a police station in Northern Ireland once. It was so outlandish, I thought no one would believe my description without a picture. I was led, at gunpoint, into the same police station, que...

So far, no bites from any media. I sent Gov. Doyle a letter today, and cc'd it to Sen. Erpenbach, the Wisconsin State Journal writer who penned the article, and WisDOT's Linda Lewis. I hand delivered WisDOT's copy to her reception desk, as the public is not allowed any further into the building. I m...

There is an article in Sunday November 18 Wisconsin State Journal, front page of the Local section about this ban. It quotes a retired Madison police officer regarding his Jeep. It also quotes WisDOT's Linda Lewis. I was unable to find this on the net, someone more capable than I may be able to. Paul

Aye Dennis, me mate. My wife's got that CD, she does. T'will be a cold day when there's no Guiness around MY pub! Makes me want to be back down in County Cork hoistin' a few...... Thanks, Paul Eric, The older I get, the more I am afraid that you are basically correct. I''ve always tried to be less c...
