Re: Ugly 6x6
That might be a rebodied Carmichael Range Rover 6x4. The rearmost axle was not driven but served to increase load capacity. Search for civiilan Carmichael Commando for some really awkward 1970s styling http://www.google.com/search?q=carmichael+range+rover&client=safari&rls=en&oe=UTF-8&am...

pinzgauer auction site Dorotheum
My German isn't up to much but this is clearly a large scale Pinzgauer auction. The Dorotheum site appeared on Milweb and there's been a few waves of Pinz being sold. Lots of fairly rare 712K and plenty of interesting bits and pieces. If only I lived a thousands miles nearer. Tony http://fahrzeuge.d...

Re: rubber drain valves in front footwells of Pinzgauer
Thanks guys. I didn't know about the middle hole Jimm391730 mentions. I'm not sure they all have that. I abraded the footwells back for treating and that one isn't there in mine. Maybe a previous owner welded it up.I see the hole in the square tube underneath though. I think I'll drill that one.

rubber drain valves in front footwells of Pinzgauer
Has anyone improved on the rubber valve system for water drainage? My experience is that the valves have slight lips such that a couple of mil's of water can sit in the footwell without draining away. Which spells rust. I wondered about doing away with them altogether, since I don't do any deep wate...

I thought so too. I saw an unremarkable 710M sell for £6500 on eBay a few weeks ago, so thought he'd get more than that for a K.

right hand drive 710k on milweb in the UK
Don't know if this is someone on here? Not much detail in the ad.
It's right hand drive, which is strange. Must be aftermarket conversion?

FWIW I thought it had a genuine feel to it, rather than the usual 'Gold Rush' style dramatic camera angle fakery (not that I'm diss'ing The Hoffman, you understand).

You'd get real tired of people pulling into your gravel driveway like that (at 2m 59s), cool G Wagen or not.

Kraka Faun anyone? A bit like a Mule but it folds up!
Folds up like a table tennis table when not in use.

Re: hairy volvo c303 TGB on eBay
Plenty of things would have been stuck long before that thing eventually was. I don't know much about the Volvos, but when it does get stuck at the end, it seems to lack the ability to lock all the diffs- only the front wheel on the visible side is turning. Do these volvos lack the Pinz' allround di...

Re: hairy volvo c303 TGB on eBay
I wonder why have it at all? Doesn't seem to serve any structural purpose, and looks pretty beefy so would add a fair weight.

hairy volvo c303 TGB on eBay
This has been listed a few times but hasn't hit the mark. Looks pretty hairy. Any idea what the hinged rear framework would be for?
