light weight door tops
Why don't you solicit folks here to see how many people would actually pay for them? You might be surprised at the number of people who would pay $250 (?) for a set of these. Jst thinking out loud....

It's like 89F here in Houston today. It's TOO hot to drive the 710 today!

lightweight door tops
Given your strong reaction to those door tops, I emailed the guy to confirm what they were. Unfortunately, they're the plain old steel framed units typical of a 710/712.

Overseas Resource for Spare and Obscure Pinzgauer Parts
You long time Pinzgauer owners probably know about this place but I just came across it and it certainly looks like they have lots of the oddball spares that folks seem to be in search of regularly. Belts, pumps, seals, gaskets etc etc

Nice Rack!
Mike,
Thanks for the photo. I guess what it lacks in aerodynamics, it make up for in utility. Have you (or anyone else out there) seen anything that more or less runs the length of the roof?

Roof Racks - home made or otherwise
I'd love to see roof racks on a 710 that people have either purchased from a place like Four Wheel Parts or Performance Parts or preferably something that they fabricated themselves. How you've attached them to the vehicle is also of key interest.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Recommended source for seat belts
Earlier in the summer, I installed 4 seat belts in the back of my 710. They were sourced from seatbeltsplus.com. They have all different types and colors available. My recollection was that 4 sets, mounting hardware and shipping came in at under $100! I purchased green belts that look OEM. There wer...

Canvas top repair suggestions
I've gotten so many good ideas on my wooden rub strip replacement question I thought I'd ask for some advice on canvas top repairs. I have a short tear so I presume that finding a piece of OEM canvas is the right material to use? What's the best adhesive for this task?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Seeking Wooden Rub Rail Replacement Wisdom
I recently mangled one of the rub rails on my 710 and am now considering my replacement options. I can replace it in wood (what kind and why) or angle iron or some sort of square dimension tubing. I have a buddy who loves to weld and fabricate stuff and he wants to weld replacement rails directly to...

Suggestions for Self Reliance for my Houston based 710M
First, let me offer a big thank you to Vince for establishing this forum. If you haven't contributed $$$, you should because I sense that a lot of people get a lot of value from it and we'd probably all miss it if he couldn't continue to maintain it. (Vince - perhaps YOU should be selling the t-shir...

Technical Resource in the Houston area
I've had my 710M for about 14 months and it's been a blast. As I tell friends, I have a new appreciation for what Paris Hilton goes through as just about every where I take it, people point, stare and need to ask questions! You guys know the drill.... Here in the Houston area, my local Pinzgauer rep...
