Fuel level in carb

Post by Hugues »

Oh ! Glad the forum is back working,

I was checking my fuel level in my carbs with this tool:
https://pinzgauer-techshop.ch/?produkt= ... llwerkzeug

As you can see in video, at idle the fuel level seems to be about right, around the bottom of the clip (as per instructions provided with the tool).
But when i press the accelerator, the fuel level goes quickly down, then if i hold the accelerator, it comes back but slightly below the idle level.
Is this the normal behaviour ?

The volume of fluid in the tube is a tiny fraction of that in the
bowls -- soooooo, when you open the throttle plate the accelerator
pump kicks in and there's a vacuum building up pulling the bowl
level down SLIGHTLY -- but that's enough to visibly move the fuel
down the hose. Nothing to worry about here.
