2.7 factory engine

Is there any possibility to know, from outside, if an engine has 2.7 litre displacement?
A 712k in military tropical version should carry such engine?
An engraved sign "TL" close to engine number has any meaning in this matter? What does it mean?
Thanks for your help.

The only Factory built 2.7L engines I am aware of were in a couple of race trucks.

That is not a factory marking.
Your mod is aftermarket work.

For some reason I was thinking that they actually built some of the later ambulance trucks with a 2.7 stock from the factory, but that it was low numbers because it was so near the end of the gassers production. I'm probably wrong, but for some reason I'm thinking this.

I read this somewhere as well.
My friend's workshop truck that was '85 was not a 2.7L though.
