Pinz-bro's,

The day of the electric car is is speeding towards us, with new regulations that ban diesel-SUV's already in certain cities in Holland, and petrol cars in future...
How long before someone tries to put an electric motor in the Pinzgauer ? It should be possible and having a row of batteries stacked as low as possible, under the bed in the back, will aid in stability and cheap to charge up at home...

Any suggestions ?

Best regards,
Jules

Been played with a lot over the last ten+ years.. a lot more complex than it seems to be practical.

I CAN'T WAIT to change over my gas engines to electric! As soon as it's viable, I'm in!

Electric conversion is easy; it is the conversion in people's minds from essentially unlimited range with a 5 minute fill-up (with liquid fuel) to the more limited range and much longer recharge times for most battery systems and chargers that is the hard part. Yes, things are improving, but not fast enough to "convert" most people. If you could transport a car owner from 1910 into today they would be thrilled with the range and performance of a Leaf; we have become spoiled since then.
