Oil dripping from pan

Post by ziegler »

The oil pan gasket is good but there's oil coming from above the oil pan on the drivers side. It's not from the oil cooler, does anyone has any ideas. I changed the O rings and the gasket of the oil cooler thinking that would solve the problem but it didn't. Can it be the exhaust manifold gasket? Thank you. Zig

On the drivers side is the cylinder side so there are several possibilities.
But a pix of the area would help.

Pushrod tube seals drying up. Or the oil return tube. Both use rubber beveled washers to seal against oil leaks. Make sure the valve covers aren’t weeping either.
