Faulty fuel gauge?

Post by WdeLange »

When the fuel gauge of my 710 indicates "Reserve" there is approximately 35 liters of fuel left in tank. Is this normal?

That would be about.... 9.246021785 gallons.

From what I remember, there should be about 5 gallons - so roughly 17 liters.

Thanks guys, I have done the earth conversion. For the first time the gauge actually show "full" when the tank is full! I will have to wait and see how it goes as the fuel level drops.

After several tanks of petrol I can truly say that the fault has been rectified. Just more proof that a loose/poor earth connection can give you al sorts of funny readings.
