Replacement fan?

Post by spandit »

Wow, seems to be my forum at the moment - I certainly am making a lot of posts...

Haven't broken the fan, yet, but it's a possibility in the future and replacement ones seems extremely expensive - is there a part from another vehicle that might fit? Having trouble getting it off - managed to undo the crank bolt in the end (by locking the flywheel) - made a hell of a bang but fortunately nothing broken. I've made a tool to hold the fan but really need someone else to hold it as not strong enough on my own

After soaking overnight with some penetrating oil, came off with an impact gun with no problems. My fan belt seems to be a 1025A, which is the same as the spare Land Rover ones I had in my garage, which is good. I wonder if this is because my pulley is a non-standard size?
