Carburetor top bolt hole thread fix

Post by Ken A »

I am looking for a Helicoil M5 x 0.9 to fix a loss of threads for one of the carburetor top bolt holes.

I can source M5 x 0.8 from many suppliers/manufacturers but not the 0.9 pitch.

Can any one tell me where I can obtain this elusive item?

Thank you.

Wondering if JB Weld would not work here. I've used it on some pretty major jobs over the years, and its drillable, and tappable. Just wondering?
