Better heating hoses

Post by Jerbearyukon »

Has anyone found a supplier for BETTER heating hoses. The ones i got this summer were already very old stock ones. Has anyone found a supplier or aftermarket that fits the pinz that is maybe INSULATED or atleast NOT PAPER. They originals are ripping and offer no insulation to the cold.

I can't seem to find anything here in canada.

Thanks jer

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/sceet.php
Sceet hose will last and is temp rated to 550 deg f.
You can order as much or little as you need. Measure before ordering.

This post has recommendations for length, sceet vs. scat hoses.
I relied on this post when I replaced my 712 hoses, and the measurements worked out well for me.
I went with Scat for the slightly higher insulation value (and because they didn't have the sceet in stock when I ordered.) They are orange in color, can't miss them when you look underneath now!

I replaced all of the heating hoses in my 710 with the orange aircraft type that Jim recommended. They heater works great now!

I did the same. Ordered everything from Aircraft spruce. For the main hose from the exchanger to the fan I slipped the AC hose into an aluminum dryer duct and used spray foam to insulate the hose from the exterior air. Maybe overkill, but I have spent many years in Ft McMurray and think and build for winter and cold. The end result is good but you still cannot travel in summer clothes like in a Chev pickup.

I was told that the chip was a good thing. Especially in Europe for travel. Really difficult to copy your info and steal your identity.

Yeah right.....but WHO ARE THEY really.

Now bank robbers don't even have to get out of their house to rob you anymore.....I asked the credit card company and they said it's just the price of doing business....great

So has anyone had problems with the heat exchanger?

Can you just remove it and clean it out and if so how...just water?

Heater hoses are enroute

thanks
