Mechanical Tachometer

Post by Stekay »

I'd like to put a mechanical tach in my 710K. Is there a provision for a cable drive anywhere on the engine? And yes, I know an electrical one is simpler to install, but I have a MS 35916-2 that would "fit" the military theme better than most of what else I have seen.

Big NO on the mechanical tach unless you want to make a drive for it as none exist. Steyr used an analog tach on civy models.

Thanks Jim,
I have a friend that works for Bosch motorsports down in South Carolina. I'll have to give him a shout to see if there's an old distributor that has a drive and is compatible.
