Auxillary Gauge Panel
Auxillary Gauge Panel
I'm designing a new instrument panel for my Pinz. I'm wondering what the ranges should be for the gauges. Can someone tell me what the oil pressure might peak at on a cold day? Also, how about a max transmission temp?

per page 1 of the engine section of the repair manual 2.5 to 3 bar when idling and warm engine

Thanks Edzz but again, I'm looking for the peak cold as in when driving away on a 0 degree morning. I'm a new owner, but I'm sure someone knows at what pressure the relief valve opens.

Yeah, but they all speak German, and live in Austria!I'm sure someone knows at what pressure the relief valve opens.
Sorry, after 10 years of Pinz ownership, I have no idea. It's just not a question that's come up.

Well then, I guess I'll be the guinea pig and let you guys know. As warm as its been here this winter, that may take awhile... or if I get really ambitious, I'll pull mine cooler, thermostat assembly off and test it at work.
