OK I just had to give it a try.
Didn’t photograph welding it together.
Took longer to take pictures and edit them than to make the cam bolt.

The bolts are not the correct size and the thread portion should have a smooth section on the shank, however for a proof of concept… if I’d had the correct size bolts all I’d have left to do is slot the head.

I may have to make a trip to the bolt store and make a real one. 8)

Or you can go the Rube Goldberg approach. :roll:

I found one of the cam bolts wedged up next to my starter while replacing it. It had the starter locked on and wouldn't budge.
Now I have an extra bolt. But anyways, screwing those two bolts on the clamp for the air intake is on of the most confounding things I have to do on my 710.
