I have owned a super charged truck, it required premium. Anything lower than 91 and it would ping. Best it ever ran was in Panama on 96 and with that fuel I also got the best mpgs ever in the truck.
I see no point in anything but low grade in a Pinz. Why? Because it is stock and was designed to run on low octane. Now if you super charged or turbo'ed it or did other mods, perhaps the higher octane would be beneficial.

I know that it defies logic, but my trucks are running noticeably more reliable ever since I switched from regular to premium. It might be related to the elevations I run at (from 9,000 to 13,000 ft).
