Power Arc Ignitions for a Pinzgauer

Post by berger »

I was curious if anyone has heard of Power Arc Ignitions and whether you think their product would work in a Pinz? I am familiar with them because they make an ignition setup for Urals. I was going through their site and found a kit for a VW and a Bosch 009 dizzy. I have sent them an Email asking about the Pinz, 24v requirements, different firing order etc, but I was curious as to what you all thought.

The IDS VP-2 ignition fits in engines that utilize a distributor. The kit includes a DF2 coil pack and a distributor stem (plug wires not included). The ignition is integrated into the distributor top and has a built in program connector. The ignition works on 4 cylinder engines such as a Volkswagen and does not require a high voltage distributor cap. The ignition will be pre-programmed to for a Volkswagen. Replaces a 009 distributor.
