carbs received from good ol Jim in great shape. 30 minutes later the truck was up and running better than ever! I've never had a truck idle this well. I was able to bump the timing up to 8 degrees without any issue.
I did notice a lower amount of power and a need to press the pedal further. I expect the linkages will need a readjust to get everything out of the carb and reset my foot memory. Someone installed a strange shelf under the go pedal that restricted how far I could push the pedal and its not enough. I've eliminated it.
My lesson learned - If you cant sync the carbs as described by Jims posts, youre best to send the carbs to Jim to have him do it for ya
