Where's my leak?

Where's my leak?

So I'm doing by seasonal inspection and I'm noticing the back of the rear right portal box is looking a bit wet/oily.
I'm pretty new at this, so I'm unsure where the oil would have come from.
i would think if the portal box was leaking, it wouldn't be on the back of it.
Ideas?

There is a weep hole on the back of the wheel drive toward the bottom so that gear oil doesn't leak onto the brake shoes if an internal seal fails. From your photo that doesn't look like what is happening though. I would start by thoroughly degreasing the entire oily area and then taking it for a test drive so that you can hopefully see exactly where the leak is coming from.
