I pulled the front locker slave cylinder and what looks like a lot of gear oil came pouring out, I am assuming this is not normal.

Did you check to see that the connected gearboxes are full-up with their oil?

Will check, just wanted to make sure this wasn't a normal thing which I am pretty sure it is not.

It's not normal, but I think most of the pinzgauers have at least a bit of oil in the Central tube.

O-RING 179-3C/69 (9023776 - Number 3 in the picture) or SHAFT SEALRING A42X55X8-VI 468 (9023860 - Number 8 in the picture) are leaking in this case.

As it's a pain in the ass to change them (you have to pull the axel) i would first try an oil leak stop additiv.

Yeah, I think its time to get the body off and do a complete reseal of the drivetrain.

I’ve made those repairs in the field. Helps if the re is a press present.

I've had a similar experience a few years back ... okay, maybe 6 or 8 years ago. I got the impression that it occurs through increased pressure when you drive at high speeds. It tends to blow oil past the seals, especially if they are older worn seals. If you park on a steep uphill incline overnight it will leak a fair amount of it out. I don't remember where but there's a small hole there somewhere and if all the oil flows backward, it ends up draining out. Andre, do you know where that hole is?

Yes there should be a venting hole to release the presure that builds up in the diffs when driving.
