What clutch to buy

Hello pinz owners. I have a 1975 710k bought in April 2023 and about 2 weeks ago I was driving it and noticed a change in the feel of the clutch pedal. Kinda went soft or spongy. It has been parked since ' due to winter snow and salt covered roads. Today was nice and dry after rain washed off the road salt. So I took it out and noticed the clutch slipping in 3 and 4th gear high range on inclines on hilly roads. Bottom line I want to replace clutch 'pressure plate and throw out bearing. Are you guys buying after market or OEM from SAV or EI ? I read awhile back someone used a LUK clutch kit but did not provide a part number. I want a stout clutch as I tow . THANKS in advance Ron from Pa.

On both my trucks, I had a need for a tranie rebuild. So while in there I
replaced the clutch and pressure plate with a EI kit. I believe they are
BMW 5-series but don't know what year/generation. IMHO go for the kit.

BTW check and make sure you have no signs of oil leaks around the cam
timing housing. I did and that got taken apart and resealed. Common place
for leaks is the housing near the starter -- torque applied when starting in
that general area.

The clutch kit is currently available with 20% off at https://www.puch.at/de/produkte%20&%20e ... spx?LNG=de
the kit includes a pilot bearing for the crankshaft and a new throwout bearing.

In the US you can call Sara or Willy at SAV and they have the BMW clutch and all the specs, usually in stock.
