Anybody ever use Penzoil Synchromesh in their transmission?

Diffs, axles, lockers, transmissions, portals, that kind of thing.

Anybody ever use Penzoil Synchromesh in their transmission?

Post by NYPinz »

I used this stuff on a 55 VW I used to have and it really made it shift nice. It is said to have good yellow metals compatibility so I wonder if it would be good for the Pinz. Just wondering if anyone has tried it?

I wouldn't use anything but Amsoil or Redline (order the GL4) in the gear boxes of any of these 4x4's. I put it in my 303, 2 ex Pinz's and ex G-wagon. Always made a subtle improvement and is a proven product, unlike 90% of what's out there.

I've used it in my Jeep Wrangler with good results but it's a PITA to find around here. The 5 speed that was in the older Wranglers required GL4 as well.
