Troubleshooting locker lamps

Post by spandit »

Went off-roading last weekend (did a trial... came last) but I noticed not all of my locker indicator lamps were working.

The FWD light worked fine, but only one of the rear locker lights came on and there was no light on the front locker. I checked the bulb and it was OK. Someone confirmed that I had all 4 wheels spinning at times, so I know the lockers are working OK.

Where are the switches for these located?

All Pinzis have two light bezels for the rear lockers, but only 712s have both bulbs - 710s have only one that will illuminate. So it sounds like only your front locker light is at issue.

The switch is on the opposite side of the locker slave cylinder; the front locker switch is just behind the diff on the passenger side. I believe the switch grounds when activated, so try shorting the lead to chassis and have someone check if the bulb comes on.
