Limited slip difs

While adjusting my brakes yesterday I noticed that the rear wheel wouldn't turn unless both wheels on that axle were jacked up (on stands of course). When I turned one wheel clockwise the other one went counter-clockwise. If I remember correctly this indicates limited slip differentials. Am I wrong?

Yes (you are wrong), a normal planetary diff will behave like that. If the wheels turn the same way (i.e. both go forwards or both go backwards) then it's a locked, torque biasing or limited slip diff.

You are wrong. What you are seeing is true of any open or unloaded limited slip differential, the Pinzgauer differential is an open differential until the manual lockers are applied. Scotts video may help understand.
