Need execution 1 bolt, 10mx70...FOUND

Hi all,

So the factory no longer produces the execution #1 10mx70 cheese head bolt. I can get the 10mx80 from Scott, but then I'd have to shorten it. Anybody out there got one laying around? Probably not, just thought I'd ask.

Did you check with SAV?

Do you have a pic of the bolt head? I am going to check a few places....

Sav only seems to have the 10mx80 in their parts catalogue online. I will also check with Karl at PC, but has to be OEM or similar high grade 12.9 bolt. Pic attached.

Maybe this ?: http://www.mcmaster.com/#socket-head-cap-screws/=n5a813 (Item # 91290A542)

Also I would definitely give Sarah at SAV a call since they often have items in stock that are not on their website.

Yes, it's an allen head. I don't have it in front of me (well, I only have half of it anyways, the rest is stuck in the diff bolt!)....if I can't find an OEM, I will have to look into a fasterner place.

Good find Paul! I was searching without luck! Now to make sure the pitch is 1.5 and not 1.

Metric Class 12.9 Alloy Steel
Partially Threaded

Made from a high-strength steel alloy, these are the metric versions of our popular inch size alloy steel screws. Screw length is measured from under the head.
Standard thread and fine thread screws have a dark surface color as a result of heat treatment. They have a Class 5g6g thread fit, a minimum Rockwell hardness of C39, and minimum tensile strength of 174,000 psi. Dimensions meet DIN 912/ISO 4762. Fine thread screws allow precision adjustment.

High-visibility metric blue screws have a distinctive blue coating that makes them easy to distinguish from inch sizes. They meet ASTM A574M (similar to DIN 912 and ISO 4762) and ANSI/ASME B18.3.1M. All have a Class 4g6g thread fit, a minimum Rockwell hardness of C38, and minimum tensile strength of 176,900 psi.

Ya, but sometimes they won't ship to Canada. I wanted a special Lube (Krytox) for my Ural Alt bearings, and I had to ship it to a friend in the US. They would only deal with companies and not individuals in Canada....at that time.

Good to have a local resource too....just in case! 8)

Some good news. My local shop carries the bolt type, but one size to small. They can order the one you want, so I am sure a good Fastener shop near you can do the same. You just need to verify the thread pitch.
