Old, expensive, maybe. But IMHO, the biggest advantage to breakers is to be able to reset them on the fly.

Granted, neither a fuse nor breaker should simply pop for no reason. But I had a few times when they seemed to do just that. Push the breakers, the reluctant device starts operating again, good as new again...

Well I pulled the trigger on a new 4-way flasher switch which should get here shortly. We will see if that does the trick.
