Tire Question

With enough free time you can put what tires you want on a Pinzgauer. These seem to be a little over size for our typical customers use.

At first look I thought that was an R/C model. Then I saw the Russian in it!

The cab has been extended (the gray parts), hasn't it?
Maybe for an engine swap...? Anyone can translate from Russian?

Edit:
- the links near the top left and top right corners of the picture mean "previous" and "next";)
- the rear axle has been pushed backwards to accomodate the ginormous tires...!;
- this 712's cab has indeed been extended... but no idea whether this was to make room for a bigger powerplant.

In the side view, the connecting tube between the rear and center axle looks smaller. I wonder if they replicated the original design, only longer. Or if they perhaps used some sort of conventional driveshaft there.
