Tie Rod End thread pitch?

Post by Haf-e »

I am going to be making up a set of heavy duty tie rods for the steering and need to know what the thread size and pitch is for the tie-rod ends to allow me to order up the required taps - anyone know the size of the threads?

I would pull mine off to measure but I loaned out my tie rod puller tool this weekend.

Thanks!

For the drag link - the parts manual say that the thread is M22x1.5 as the parts catalog lists the specs for the "jam nuts" used on that assembly.

Was hoping they would be m23x1.5 as that is the size used on Toyota 80 series and there are some nice machined ends for DOM tubing which can be welded in to the tube for a very clean looking tie rod. Maybe I can get one of the fab shops to make up a set in M22 instead.
