Rear seat pads

Post by rollingpinz »

How are the rear seat pads held in place? Mine have been reupholstered and the pad sits within the rectangular frame. When you fold the seats over, the bottom pad falls out unless you hold it in place with the back. It’s a manageable process, but I’m curious how it’s supposed to be.

Doing some inspecting, I notice a piece of flat metal held in with 2 screws. 2 for each seat frame. Are this supposed to act like springs and hold the pad in the frame? Maybe mine just need some teeeking
