WIndow Retainer Strap

Post by DeStoriesair »

Hello,
I am going to replace the driver/passenger window retainer strap that holds the window from sliding around. Mine was gone when I started using it so I do not know what it really should look like and the SAV parts diagram does not give a close up of how that strap is installed. Does anyone have a picture of the leather window strap on there pinz?

Here's a closeup, passenger side. I have the strap and rivets from SAV to install on the drivers side.

Pictures were great. Was wondering what the opposite side of the part that loops around the window bracket actually did. From what I am seeing it just doubles back on itself.
Thanks guys

Hi,

It's listed a leather belt part #7111761781 @5.93 each. Located on the Pinz door breakdown.

EDIT - I may have confused things, it looks like you may be creating your own version.

FWIW, I bought the leather from Tandy and made it up with a hole punch and pop rivets. Both sides. Same for the tabs around the top of my 710M. A fun easy project.
