Mudflap reflective decals

Post by MarkPinz »

Back in 04 after purchasing my truck had purchased a set of reflective mudflap decals that someone on the forums had sold. Was thinking its time to replace them can't remember who sold them? Anybody know if they are still available?

"MVDs"! or "Military Vehicle Delineators" in the proper jargon!
I haven't seen them in a while, and a quick google search only returned links to "sold out" items...
Maybe buying two rolls or sheets of reflective tape and assembling / cutting your own panels would be the easier option? It won't have spent 20 years on a shelf, which may not have the best effect on the adhesive, too...

Jan, Thank you for the correct product information. Found a pair on Italian eBay & a company in Germany (not sure if they ship to US?). As you said could also purchase the 3M reflective tape & make them.

I have a friend who owns a vinyl cutting machine that could easily reproduce MVDs. Let me know if you would be interested in some. If there is enough interest, I'll get her to program the cuts and reproduce them.

I did get a pair from Italian ebay, havent put them on yet. They are the original type made by 3M w/ instruction sheet. Can post some dimensions & images this weekend when I get home. Like these for visibility at night when parked on streets.

Please do make up a drawing -

I like how they are hidden when the mud flaps are up in the "off-road" position but visible when the flaps are down in the "on road" position. Reflectors on a olive drab / camo'd military rig always seem odd...
