Eberspacher Exhaust Length and blower requirement

Post by boeing7873 »

My BN4 exhaust needed to be replaced, specifically the first section. I managed to get in 40mm ID flex exhaust pipe from the UK that should work nice, but I was trying to figure out why there is always some smoke coming out of the front of the battery box. So I found that the exhaust is not a closed pipe all the way out, but has an "ejector" right between the first section (40 mm) and the second exhaust section which is at leas 55mm ID.
i started looking at BN4 manuals and it clearly states that exhaust installations of more than 1 meter require the ejector, and with more than 2 meters, there is a need for an external electric exhaust blower! My truck does not have this blower but my exhaust is clearly more than 1 meter long...
How is the standard factory exhaust for the BN4 on a Swiss 710K?

There is an ejector on my swiss 710K and the length of the second part is 115 cm. All is standard.
