Does everyone else have seats like this?

All things body, interior, paint, windows, tops... you know.

Post by spandit »

Never noticed it before, but does the driver's seat sit further back than the passenger seat? The mountings are in a different place but wondered if the seats are the same.

That said, on one of my seats, the pegs at the front go through the holes, on the other, they don't.

Only saw it because I'm trying to fit my Smart seats in

What you described is exactly how my 710M was setup before I installed the custom seats.

Driver’s seat also sits higher due to the adjuster mechanism.

They are all like that. I was a bit confused at first too.

Let us know how the Smart Seats fit both for width and especially for height!
Thanks.

Driver's side is no problem - plenty of space

Passenger side is the critical one. The Smart seats come with a seatbelt guide at shoulder height and that is very close to the side of the vehicle - means tilting seat back forward is difficult/impossible so I'm going to remove it at the same time I remove the airbags.

Height is fine, I'm 6'4", and legroom should be fine once I've refitted the driver seat

Is the driver's seat offset to one side on purpose?
