Brand new Eberspächer BN4 heater (wrongly listed as a D1L)
Guess how much (and how much is it worth, assuming it works OK?)
Here's me just got my diesel powered heater working well...

Colin: Lucky Find! $24?

Will you install it or re-sell?

I might resell it as I quite like having my auxiliary heater run off kerosene as it's cheaper than petrol. I'll sell it to you for $24 but the packaging and shipping will be crippling!

Define "crippling" :?:
Regular gas is cheaper than diesel here.

I wonder how difficult it would be to turn one of these into a semi mobile solution? Maybe mounted in a metal box?
Multi-Pinzgauer owners cant afford two =)

I keep mine mounted in a metal box (aka a 710K), and it is highly mobile.

Crippling = "more than enough to compensate me for your measly $24..."
It's cheaper here too, but you can run diesel Eberspächers off kerosene/heating oil which is cheaper still. You can also buy "red" diesel for agricultural use which is pretty cheap - huge penalties for using it a road vehicle but perfectly legal to use in your heater.

All in all, quite a score. Did you get it in auction or at a local store? Parts for the BN4 are rare or non existent now. Regards, Kevin

I sniped it on eBay... should get it later this week. I've seen them go for $500 second hand...

Well, let us know when you sell it.... So if this is BN4, I can assume that is 24V, right?

I can't believe it but less than 21 hours after the auction ended, it's been delivered! Heavy brute... not sure if I'll have time to unpack it today

Well done that man ! It pays to keep an eye on that fleabay thing. Many a good bargain crops up. I've never had any problems with buying stuff off there.
Tap "24 volts" into fleabay .... hours of temptation !! ha.ha.
