Anyone know why the arrangement of straps/metal frame (i.e. elbow pokers/Austrian ginsu) on an Austrian K model on the engine covers? I have seen a couple and they are all like this.
Seems a very odd bracket and strap arrangement, and I am curious if anyone knows why.

I'm curious what the bracket on the divider cage is for, and what appears to be a "fill cap" of some sort below it.

That cap looks a lot like the NATO battery jump plug receptacle I had in my Iltis. With the proper cord, you could connect to Iltis or Nato vehicles together and jumpstart a dead vehicle.

The cap is a NATO plug.
