Well on the way back from the Scottish Highlands (pictures on trips section), in a heavy down pour of rain, the inner control arm of the windscreen wiper popped off! I had no wipers! I thought it might just pop back on and stay, but it wouldn't, and fell off as soon as the wipers were turned on. I swapped the right side control arm over so at least had wipers in front of me.

Re: Wiper control arm
The part that failed on mine was the internal control arm which takes the movement from the motor to the wiper.

Re: Wiper control arm
Ah yes...I lost one of those too. Happened in a rain storm in Washington state. Had to get one from SAV. Very spendy. The part that goes through the wind screen broke off and the inside connecting arm fell off into the cab. Not the one that fell off in the snow storm, though. That was the outside wiper arm.
We must have brother vehicles.
Happy trails.

I'm not sure how you could zip tie that connection!
Re: Wiper control arm
That sucks! This is where Rain-X, or a product like it comes in very handy. Water just sheets off.ScottishPinz wrote:Well on the way back from the Scottish Highlands (pictures on trips section), in a heavy down pour of rain, the inner control arm of the windscreen wiper popped off!
