MRAP 24 volt Warn winch
Re: MRAP 24 volt Warn winch
This is all you need to do when installing a winch up front a pinzgauer.....or you need to swap your front springs to heavy ones .
you can make these in aluminium to if you want...mine are 3.5 cm thick.... about 1.3 inch.

They are made of ERTALON......this is some kind of heavy Duty plastic but can be made of Alu.
They come between the 2 rings of the lower spring Seat. so you have the frist cup That sits on the vinger
That is sitting on the axel....than comes the rubber ring ,Than your spacer, and finely the cup where the spring
Sits on . THEY COME BETWEEN 4 AND 11 IN THE PICTURE BELOW .

Check the toe-in before you mess with spring spacers.

How do you change the camber by altering the toe-in.....if the wheels are sitting inwards meaning negative camber,Jimm391730 wrote:Check the toe-in before you mess with spring spacers.
There is notting to adjust there on a pinz

Re: MRAP 24 volt Warn winch
If the toe is outward, driving forward pulls the bottoms of the wheels outwards - this gives the appearance of weak springs. Toe inwards pulls the bottoms of the wheels inward when driving forwards, this flexes the suspension downwards and lifts the body. Even with a proper toe setting you will get a different distance from the bottom of the diff to ground after rolling 10-20 feet forward than doing the same in reverse.
To evaluate the springs, you must have the toe set properly, put the truck on a level hard surface, and with the wheels straight ahead you need to move the truck forwards 10-20 feet to correctly evaluate the ride height.

Another member here gained 1-2" of ride height by setting the toe inwards properly. He thought he needed new springs until he realized that his truck had toe OUT instead of toe IN.
