Double belt pulley

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

Double belt pulley

Post by boeing7873 »

I will be installing an AC in my 710K and need help with the double belt pulley, anyone with experience on this topic? I have seen three ways of doing it. Two of them look like welding a of the shelf (or modified of the shelf) pulley to the front of the original Pinz pulley. The other method, to assemble a machined (turned, lathed) V-slotted ring to the back side of the original pulley. When I mean assembled, I mean screwed with a bunch of bolts.
I have seen these pictures in this forum. Can find them again... but they are here, both. Someone had some of these double slotted pulleys for sale at some point.

I cut one of the pulleys off the HUMVEE setup and welded it to the front of the stock pulley and had it balanced. Any similar diameter pulley would do. See my write up on AC install. Good luck. I use mine all the time.
