converting a 712w to m or k
I've been looking for a 712m , but only found a 712w near where I live . I've been reading some of the posts on body mods , some of you have added body parts to there 712"s to make them into k's or even modfied dk's . Where could I find the body parts to close in the back end of a 712w ? I live in Maple Ridge B.C. Canada , and I'm quite far from any known parts supliers . I dont have the money to buy a 710k to strip down , one of the 712w's that I found is in peces and will need to be trailerd to my place . Any info would help befor I buy , thank's from Brian Wright owner of Higher Ground Off Road .

You need to ignore what people call their changes. ALL 712 Pinzgauers are built off one of 2 chassis. The "T" ( 3 door flatbed) chassis is what "Ms" and "AMBs" ( and variants) are built from. Or the 5 door "K" platform.
Same is true for the 710.
Within a series, most all parts can be mixed or matched without much mod.... From a "T" , add siderails , rear door and side pieces, rear rollbar and the bars, hoops and a canvas, and you have a "M"... add a removeable shelter to a "T" and you have a AMB, W or whateverever else the shelter is called. You can install a "K" top with the doortops and you have what was later called a "MK" ( refering to the basic 3 door platform and a hardtop).
The variant of The Pink Cow was never supposedly tried before, where I took a 716K and made a 5 door platform into a softtop, which I have call 716KM (first letter refering to platform, second to the top), I have also called it a 716 5dr M, which is easier for some to understand.
Just think of a Pinz as an expensive Erector or Leggo set to play with to make whatever you want.
