did some remodeling of my 712M

Build projects, things that guys have come up with to make a Pinz better (or worse?) and aftermarket add-ons.

Got to take the 712 out this weekend for a shake down. All went well, looking forward to next few weekends out with it one of which includes the SWPA Treffen.
I think it looks even better out away from the city.

Mike,
Is that a front skid plate I see in your photo, and is that also available from Tim? I need something like this...
thanks

It does look great but I bet it gets HOT in the summer time.

Do you have a source for those widened steel wheels?

Yes Tim added that to the front nose to reinforce it, seemed I like to use them to get over obstacles. I have some nose armor that he made for me but have been to lazy to install it, maybe I can talk him into putting on one of these days.
Here is a picture of his truck with the nose armor

I am working on a cooling system for the pinz. I want it to be able to run without using resources from the pinz itself. Hopefully will have it in the next month or so, if it works out will put up some photos of the build.
I bought my widened steels from Patrick back in '04 and have not ever looked for them since.

Well as has been mentioned the heat is coming to AZ. I added a shade canopy to the back of my pinz. I also made my prototype of the cooler for the pinz which is working out very well so far. Almost hate to say it but I need a couple of hot days to see how well it works. On the sub 100 deg days it has been doing very well.
here are a few pics of the "summer" version of the canopy.

a peak at the cooler, yeah it is OSB but I did not want to go to far down a road if it did not go anywhere. You can see my duck dog enjoying the cool air coming from the unit. Looks like I will be spending some time with my sheet metal bender.
