New Bumper from Tim

Post by pcolette »

My new front bumper from Tim Keller arrived earlier this week and after some minor tweeking with Tim's help (over the phone) and a coat of paint, it's now mounted.

I like the look and it's absolutely solid. Great workmanship - Thanks, Tim!

For those considering getting one - test fit and tweek it before painting  and plan on having a buddy help. It weighs 105 lbs. and is awkward to handle alone. FedEx Ground moved it quickly at a reasonable price and only rubbed off a little of the primer.

Looks good - for winch mounting, I presume? How much?

Robin,
Thanks! No, not intended for winch mounting though the holes in the uprights could be used with a portable winch. $800 plus freight.

MSPinzi,
Thank you! Front steps are from Expedition Imports and yes, my wife is very happy with them :) so of course I am too.

Paul
Glad you like the bumper. Most of the AZ trucks that run with the SWPA have the front bumper and side rails. A little note about the bumper, the holes in the bull bars are for clevis attachment. The size came from the 4 1/2" clevis that is commonly used with a 2" recovery strap. The deuce and a half style tow bar also attaches to them. Tim has made a few of the bumpers with winch mounts and some with light tabs when the owner has requested. Some owners have chose to go to the local hardware store and get snap in covers for the mounting holes but the majority just leave them open to help drain out the water and mud.

BTW looks great on your truck!
