Wench Bumper Suprise
We are getting our 710K ready for a coat of paint. I was dreading taking the bed liner coating off of the bumper. It was nasty but worth the effort. I found out why this stuff maybe is not so desirable.

Re: Wench Bumper Suprise
I bought mine uncoated and just painted it to match the vehicle. Based on what you show I am very glad I did. Thanks for sharing those photos.
I found plastic plugs to insert into the attachment bolt depressions...keeps crud out of them which I am sure helps them not to rust.

Good example of why I say this about once a year. Doing entire trucks with it is the worst possible thing you can do to a 4x4.

You could really trim all that excess metal around the fairlead if you wanted.

WHY:
Why would you post something so trivial as a spelling correction? Insipid / Droll
Why would you post a pejorative regarding my wife when you have never met her? Boorish / Infantile
Why do you think there is excess metal around the bumper fairlead? Any calculations to support this

Ease up.
The excess metal and odd design around the fairlead is obvious to me and no need to calculate... never mind though.

It's called humor...can't take it? Or perhaps you don't know the difference.

1 It's the internet. Somebody is bound to do it. The only solution is to either not make any grammatical errors or to not be bothered when others point it out. My 2 cents.
2 It's Dave. I was going to post that "Dave, you're sure to burn in hell for that comment", but thought better of it. I'm CERTAIN he meant it as humor, and I get it too. The older I get, the more I find it wise to always laugh at myself - that way the world can only laugh with me. Dave means well.
3 Everybody has an opinion. Vince has a lot of experience with winches. I'd take it as a suggestion, but I doubt that it's based on anything more scientific than a gut instinct. Sometimes those are well founded.
