Very cool :!: It'd be great to install those under a RR2 with it's air suspension. :D

Well done, those axles look alot better than under the Volvo rot box we took them out of!

I am about to get that carcass off my lot to the great "CRUSHER" in the sky. Thanks for buying them, it saved a lot of bacon!

I think I've posted this already, but here are a couple of pics of a LR/Volvo hybrid that a mate built a few years ago!
It has since been converted to a Ute with a 4.6 litre V8

Yeh yu did!
It prompted me to consider it for a LR project myself. BUT!
George's offer of "green" made me change my mind.
Oh well there will be plenty more at the rate these things rot.
Tomorrow is another day.

A mate of mine used to compete regularly over in Malaysia in the Rainforest Challenge.
Quite a lot of the vehicles that originally reccee'd the route and acted as backup for the event were Volvo axled Land Rovers ....... they were almost as common as Toyota 4WD's are here

Dennis,
What other parts are you salvaging off the rust bucket and are willing to sell before it goes to the crusher?

Very nice work George, and all done in 4 days - outstanding!

The more I drive the 1314, the more I think how nice it would be to graft that excellent walking beam back-end (TGB20 chassis) onto a Range Rover front end with the Volvo front axle under it's coil springs, with the 4.6 Rover V8 on LPG.

Haven't got time to do it right now owing to other project, but definitely firming up as an option for the planned round-the-world trip vehicle
